Featured in a fantastic range of colors and sizes, Sunbrella pillows are crafted from the same hardy materials that Sunbrella uses in their outdoor shades. These pillows are designed specifically for use outdoors and are very resilient. Their durable fabrics never lose their vibrant colors, and the filler materials are designed to resist mildew.
The Durability of Sunbrella:
Sunbrella uses only 100 percent acrylic materials when making their outdoor pillows. Since acrylic is a synthetic material, it will not absorb excess water or collect mildew like natural materials such as cotton. As a result, Sunbrella pillows can get wet from sprinklers, rain and splashed pool water without worry of mildew formation. Inside every pillow is a cushiony mound of 100 percent polyester filler. Polyester is also a synthetic material and will hold only limited amounts of water. If the filler ever gets wet, the pillow can be dried quickly and easily by simply setting it out into the sun.
Sunbrella understands that their pillows will be exposed to direct/indirect sunlight just about every single day. While most pillows quickly start to lose color only after a few weeks in the sun, Sunbrella pillows will retain their inherently beautiful and vibrant colors for far longer. The acrylic exterior fabric is UV resistant, meaning that it can resist fading and degradation caused by UV rays from the sun. For even more protection, Sunbrella pillow owners can spray the fabric with aerosol UV protectors.
Vibrant Colors and Styles:
Sunbrella makes two main pillow sizes for use with outdoor furniture. Their 12×20 size is ideal for use as a neck pillow, supporting the head while laying on a chaise lounge or outdoor sofa. They also make a larger, perfectly square pillow which measured 20×20 inches in size. Sunbrella outdoor pillows come in an amazing array of colors, ranging from the striped “Castanet Beach Stripes” to the solid-colored “Sunbrella Tangerine Orange” patterns. Sunbrella uses permanent dyes which are particularly bold and eye catching.
As an extra bonus, Sunbrella pillows have side zippers which match the color of the fabric, effectively hiding the presence of the zipper. These zippers are used to access and remove the interior fluff for cleaning or replacement.
